Can I register at a packet pick up location?  Yes

If I register at noon and packet pick up starts at 1pm, will my packet be ready?  No, if you register the morning of packet pick up and try to pick up your packet the same afternoon, you packet will not be ready.  

Can I pick up a packet for a friend of family member?  Yes

Are credit cards accepted at packet pick ups?  Yes

Am I guaranteed a race shirt?  All pre registered participants are guaranteed the race shirt size they requested during the registration process.  Race Day and Packet Pick up sign ups are not guaranteed the shirt size of their choice, shirts will be given on a first come first serve basis.  We will do our best to get everyone the shirt size they want. 

What type of shirts are being given?  The 2012 Turkey Trot race shirt will be a long sleeve cotton shirt.  Please order accordingly.  

Will I be able to change my shirt size? You will not be able to exchange your shirt until after the race. We will have an area for shirt exchange after the race for those wishing to exchange their shirts.  You will be given the shirt size you ordered during registration, sorry but no exceptions.

How can I get a race shirt if I do not want to participate?  You may register as a participant to receive a race shirt and goody bag.  You do not have to compete if you do not wish to do so.  You may pick up your shirt and bag at any of the packet pick up locations.     

What will we receive at packet pick up?  You will receive your race shirt, and a race number with timing chip.

What type of timing is being used?  We will be using the Start2Finish State of the art jaguar timing system.  When you receive your race number, your timing tag will be affixed to your bib number.  Please do not remove the timing tag from the back of your bib number.

What time does the race start?  9:00am

What if it is raining on race morning?  The race will happen rain or shine

When should I arrive?  You should plan to arrive earlier than normal.  If you have not picked up your packet, you should plan to arrive  by 7:30am.  If you have already picked up your packet, you should plan to arrive no later than 8:00am.  

How long will it take to find a place to park?  at least 30 minutes maybe longer, traffic is very congested.  Too avoid long lines please arrive early. 

Where do I park? Parking is very tough on race day.  Parking will be available on a first come first serve basis in the park, once parking is full within Shelby Farms, you may park in the surrounding areas along Farm Road and Walnut Grove.  Parking within Shelby Farms will be extremely limited.

Are baby joggers/baby strollers allowed in the race?  Yes, please start towards the end of the pack

Are walkers allowed to participate?  Yes, please start towards the end of the pack

Are runners allowed to run with dogs?  Dogs are not allowed at the Turkey Trot

Can we participate as a team?  Yes, teams are allowed to participate as a relay  

Where do relays exchange our timing tag?  You will tag your partner at the 2 mile marker.  Both members of your team will receive a bib number with timing chip.

How does our relay partner get to the exchange location?  The second leg of the relay team will be responsible for getting to the 2 mile junction.  You must walk or jog to this location.  We will not have a way of transporting you to the 2 mile junction, please plan accordingly.
